How SinoSurvival collects, uses, shares, protects, and retains personal information.
1. Who We Are and Scope
SinoSurvival is an independent digital publishing brand operated by an individual based in the People's Republic of China. The individual operator trading as SinoSurvival is the personal information handler or controller for the processing described in this Privacy Policy and can be contacted using the details in Section 13.
This Policy applies to sinosurvival.com and any SinoSurvival page, form, digital product, or feature that links to it, including the China Readiness Check, Contact Us and Specialized Inquiry forms, customer support, and digital-product purchases. A separate written agreement may supplement this Policy for a future paid or customized service.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only information reasonably needed to operate the relevant feature, respond to you, deliver products, protect the service, and meet legal obligations.
· Website and device information. Limited technical and aggregate usage information may be generated when you visit the Site, such as page views, referrer information, browser or device type, approximate region, and security or diagnostic data.
· China Readiness Check. We may collect your email address, optional country or region, limited submission metadata, consent records, and the result or summary needed to provide and administer the Check. The Check is informational and is not used to make a legal or similarly significant decision about you.
· Contact Us and Specialized Inquiry. We may collect your name, email address, country or region, selected inquiry category, the answers and free-text information you submit, consent records, timestamps, and internal status or response records.
· Customer support. We collect the messages, attachments, order references, and contact details you provide when requesting assistance.
· Purchases. Lemon Squeezy collects checkout and payment information as merchant of record. We may receive limited order, product, purchaser, tax-country, delivery, refund, and support information needed to fulfill and administer the order. We do not receive or store full payment-card credentials.
Please do not send passport or identity-document scans, payment credentials, passwords, medical records, precise live location or movement details, or other sensitive information unless we specifically request it through an appropriate secure process and explain why it is necessary. The Site and Specialized Inquiry channel are not emergency services.
3. How We Use Information
We may use personal information to:
· operate the Site and its forms, provide requested results, and respond to inquiries;
· deliver digital products, verify orders, resend access, troubleshoot files, and administer refunds or disputes;
· maintain records, prevent misuse, protect security, and diagnose technical problems;
· send operational messages connected with a submission, inquiry, purchase, or support request;
· send marketing email only where you have separately opted in, with an unsubscribe method; and
· comply with law, enforce applicable terms, and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
4. Legal Bases
The legal basis depends on the activity and applicable law. It may include your consent; taking steps at your request before a contract or performing a contract; compliance with legal obligations; protection of important interests; and our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving a proportionate digital publishing service where that basis is permitted. You may withdraw consent at any time for future processing based on consent.
5. Service Providers and Other Recipients
We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose limited information to service providers that support the relevant function, to professional advisers where necessary, or to authorities and other parties where required or permitted by law.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices when acting independently. We remain responsible for our own use of information received from them.
6. International Processing and Transfers
SinoSurvival is operated from the People's Republic of China, while service providers may process information in other countries. Your information may therefore be processed outside the country where you are located. Where applicable law requires consent, a contractual safeguard, or another transfer mechanism, we will use the required measure for the relevant transfer.
7. Retention
We keep personal information only for the shortest period reasonably necessary for the stated purpose, subject to legal obligations, disputes, security needs, or a separately agreed paid engagement. Our current operational limits are:
· China Readiness Check records: no longer than 30 days;
· inactive Specialized Inquiry records: no longer than 12 months;
· customer-support email: no longer than 24 months; and
· purchase, refund, tax, fraud-prevention, and dispute records: for the period reasonably required by law, Lemon Squeezy processes, accounting needs, or legal claims.
A record may be retained longer where a legal obligation, active dispute, security investigation, or documented retention hold applies. We may retain anonymous or aggregated information that no longer identifies an individual.
8. Cookies and Analytics
As of the Last Updated date, the Site may use Framer's cookie-free, aggregate analytics and does not use non-essential advertising pixels or cross-site behavioral advertising. Essential storage or security technologies may be used where needed for a requested function.
If we introduce non-essential cookies, advertising technology, or materially different analytics in the future, we will update this Policy and request consent where required before using them.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to a small digital publishing operation, including access controls, account security measures, restricted business records, and service providers selected for the relevant function. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, a copy, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or information about processing and transfers. You may also have a right to complain to a competent regulator.
To exercise a right, contact us and describe your request. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify identity and protect other people. We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Some information may be retained where law permits or requires it, including for legal claims, fraud prevention, accounting, or transaction records.
You may unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in the message or by contacting us. This does not stop operational messages connected with an active inquiry, purchase, or support request.
11. Adults and Third-Party Links
The Site and products are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 18. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so that we can review and take appropriate action.
The Site and products may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices, not this Policy.

The rules that govern access to our website, content, and downloadable digital products.
1. Acceptance and Policy Relationship
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SinoSurvival website, website content, and digital products. By purchasing, downloading, accessing, or using a product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not purchase, download, access, or use the product.
The Refund Policy governs refunds, replacements, and delivery remedies. The Privacy Policy governs our handling of personal information. Lemon Squeezy's terms govern matters within its merchant-of-record role. If these documents address the same matter inconsistently, that allocation of subject matter controls.
Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

References to "SinoSurvival," "we," "us," or "our" mean the operator of that brand. References to "you" or "your" mean the visitor, purchaser, or authorized user, as applicable.
3. Purchases and Payment Processing
Digital-product payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy may collect payment, issue receipts, provide order access, calculate applicable taxes, and administer refunds or chargebacks under its own terms and legal obligations.
Your transaction may also be subject to Lemon Squeezy's Buyer Terms. These Terms govern your license to and use of SinoSurvival materials; Lemon Squeezy's terms govern matters within its merchant-of-record role.
Prices, included files, language, format, and product scope are those shown on the product page at the time of purchase. You are responsible for providing accurate checkout information, including a working email address.
4. Digital Delivery
After successful payment, a secure download link or access instructions will normally be sent or made available through the checkout confirmation, receipt, order portal, or email. You are responsible for saving purchased files securely and maintaining access to the email address used for the order.
If delivery fails or the supplied file has a qualifying defect, contact us under the Refund Policy so that the affected item can be resent, replaced, corrected, or refunded as appropriate.
5. Personal-Use License
Subject to these Terms and payment of the applicable price, SinoSurvival grants the purchaser a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the purchased product for the purchaser's own personal, non-commercial travel planning and reference.
Under this license, you may:
· store the purchased digital file on your own personal devices and personal cloud storage that is not shared with unauthorized persons;
· print no more than two physical copies for your own personal use; and
· allow travel companions to view the product with you during the same trip, provided that you do not transfer the digital file or give them a separate digital or printed copy to keep.
This is a license to use the product, not a transfer of ownership or intellectual-property rights.
6. Prohibited Uses
Unless we give prior written permission, you must not:
· sell, resell, sublicense, rent, lend, distribute, forward, share, or otherwise transfer the product or any substantial part of it;
· upload the product to a public website, shared drive, group, forum, marketplace, social platform, file-sharing service, or another location accessible by unauthorized persons;
· provide the original digital file or an independent copy to a travel companion or any other person;
· use the product for commercial training, paid consulting, agency work, resale, or to create a competing or derivative commercial product;
· remove, conceal, or alter copyright notices, license notices, watermarks, access controls, or file identifiers; or
· circumvent security, download, or access restrictions, or help another person do so.
7. Intellectual Property
The product, website content, text, organization, design, graphics, and other original materials are owned by or licensed to SinoSurvival and are protected by applicable copyright and other intellectual-property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
A product may include third-party names, trademarks, links, factual references, or public information. Those materials remain subject to the rights of their respective owners and do not imply endorsement or affiliation.
8. Informational Nature and Your Responsibility
SinoSurvival products and website content provide general travel information and planning support. They do not constitute legal, immigration, tax, financial, security, insurance, or other regulated professional advice, and they do not replace instructions from competent authorities or qualified professionals.
Travel conditions, entry requirements, transport services, prices, operating hours, local rules, platform features, and other third-party information can change without notice. Although we take reasonable care in preparing our materials, you must verify time-sensitive or consequential information with the relevant official source before relying on it or making a decision.
You remain responsible for your itinerary, documents, permissions, bookings, safety decisions, conduct, and compliance with applicable laws and rules.
9. Third-Party Services and Links
The product or website may mention or link to government sites, carriers, accommodation providers, maps, apps, payment services, or other third parties. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, security, pricing, acts, omissions, or terms. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that third party's terms and policies.
10. Product Versions, Corrections, and Updates
Your purchase includes the product version and files identified at the time of purchase. Unless the product page expressly promises otherwise, future revisions, updates, or new editions are not guaranteed. We may correct errors or replace files, and purchasers may receive the current replacement file through the order-access system where the platform permits.
11. Contact and Specialized Inquiry
The Contact Us page may allow you to submit a free Specialized Inquiry about private trip preparation, signature China experiences, business or trade visits, or another stated topic. Submitting an inquiry or receiving an initial response does not create a service, booking, advisory, agency, fiduciary, or other contractual relationship.
Any paid, customized, or separately scoped work must be expressly agreed in writing and may be governed by additional terms. Unless a written agreement expressly adopts these Terms or the Refund Policy, those documents do not determine the scope, fees, cancellation rules, or remedies for that separate work.
Routine support communications may be used to verify an order, troubleshoot delivery, or administer a request. They do not amend these Terms unless we expressly agree in writing.
12. Refunds
Refunds, replacements, and delivery remedies are governed by the SinoSurvival Refund Policy, together with mandatory consumer rights and applicable Lemon Squeezy procedures.
13. Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in the SinoSurvival Privacy Policy. Lemon Squeezy and other third parties process information under their own privacy notices when acting independently.
14. Suspension and Termination of the License
The license granted under Section 5 terminates automatically if you materially breach Sections 5, 6, or 7. On termination, you must stop using the product and delete unauthorized digital copies. Termination does not require a refund for a purchase made or used in breach of these Terms, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
15. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the product and website are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that all information will remain complete, current, error-free, suitable for every traveler, or continuously available. Specific remedies stated in the Refund Policy remain available according to that Policy.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SinoSurvival will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or for loss of opportunity, revenue, data, bookings, or travel arrangements arising from use of or inability to use the product or from reliance on third-party information.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our aggregate liability arising from a particular purchased product will not exceed the amount paid for that product, except where applicable law requires a higher liability or a different remedy.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or another liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms for future purchases, products, features, or website use. The version in effect when you purchase a product will normally govern that purchase unless a later version is more favorable to you, you expressly agree to it, or applicable law requires otherwise.
18. Severability, No Waiver, and Assignment
If a provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.
19. Applicable Law and Disputes
These Terms are subject to the laws that apply to the operator, the transaction, and the user. They do not deprive you of any non-waivable protection available under the law of your habitual residence or another law that mandatorily applies.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us and provide reasonable details so that both sides can attempt to resolve the dispute in good faith. This informal step does not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief or exercising a right that cannot lawfully be restricted.

When a refund, replacement, correction, or delivery remedy may be available.
1. Scope and Policy Relationship
This Refund Policy applies to one-time purchases of downloadable digital products sold under the SinoSurvival brand, including the China Arrival Handbook and another product page that links to this Policy. It does not apply to separately contracted customized work unless the written agreement or service page expressly adopts it.

2. Immediate Digital Delivery and General Final-Sale
Rule
Our products are supplied digitally. Except for the qualifying circumstances in Section 3 and rights required by applicable law, a purchase is final once the secure download link or access instructions have been sent to you or made available through the checkout confirmation, receipt, order portal, or email.
The relevant delivery point is when access has been sent or made available, not whether you later click the link, open the file, or complete a download.
Where applicable law requires express consent or acknowledgment before a statutory cancellation right may be lost for immediately supplied digital content, this rule applies only if the required consent or acknowledgment was properly obtained.
3. When a Refund or Replacement May Be Available
We will investigate the objectively verifiable circumstances below. We may first provide a replacement, corrected file, or another reasonable remedy. A full or proportionate refund may be issued if the qualifying problem cannot be resolved within a reasonable period.
· Duplicate charge. Two or more successful charges were processed for the same purchaser and substantially the same order without a request for multiple copies. We will normally keep one valid charge and refund the duplicate amount.
· Incorrect product delivered. The file or access provided does not match the product identified in the order receipt. Selecting or purchasing the wrong product yourself is not an incorrect delivery by us.
· Corrupt or unusable file that cannot be remedied. The supplied file has a reproducible technical defect that prevents ordinary opening or use, and the problem remains after reasonable steps such as re-downloading, receiving a replacement, or using commonly supported software. A device, network, storage, or software problem outside the file itself does not normally qualify.
· Product materially not as described. The delivered product omits or materially differs from a core format, language, feature, or body of content expressly promised on the product page at the time of purchase, and the difference substantially affects the product's primary advertised use. Personal preference, minor typographical or layout issues, or later changes to third-party rules or services do not by themselves qualify.
4. Verification and Remedy
We may review the order receipt, transaction and delivery records, product version, product-page description, and screenshots or error messages you provide. We may ask you to complete reasonable troubleshooting that does not compromise security or privacy.
Our usual first step is to resend access, replace the file, correct the delivery, or provide an updated working copy. If that delivers what was purchased, a refund will not normally be due. If the qualifying problem cannot be resolved, we may issue a full or proportionate refund depending on the affected portion of the order.
5. Circumstances That Do Not Normally Qualify
· change of mind, accidental purchase, failure to read the product description, or deciding that you no longer need the product;
· cancellation or alteration of your trip, schedule, visa plan, transport, accommodation, or other personal circumstances;
· dissatisfaction based only on personal taste, expected level of detail, or subjective value where the product was materially as described;
· failure to access the product because the purchaser supplied an incorrect email address, where access can be restored after the correct address is verified;
· problems caused by the purchaser's device, local software, network, security settings, or storage environment rather than by the supplied file;
· changes made after publication by governments, carriers, hotels, platforms, or other third parties, provided the product was not materially misdescribed when sold; or
· loss, suspension, or termination of access resulting from fraud, chargeback abuse, unauthorized sharing, resale, or another material breach of the Terms of Use.
6. Requesting Assistance
Contact us promptly after discovering a problem and include:
· your Lemon Squeezy order number and the email address used for the purchase;
· the product name and purchase date;
· a clear description of the issue; and
· relevant screenshots, error messages, or other evidence, where available.

7. Refund Processing
Approved refunds are processed through Lemon Squeezy to the original payment method. The time for a refund to appear depends on Lemon Squeezy, the payment method, and the purchaser's bank or payment provider. Lemon Squeezy may also handle refunds or chargebacks under its own terms, legal obligations, and platform procedures.
8. Fraud, Abuse, and Mandatory Rights
We may refuse a claim that is fraudulent, materially misleading, abusive, or connected with unauthorized distribution or use. This does not affect rights that cannot lawfully be waived, nor does it prevent Lemon Squeezy, a payment provider, regulator, or court from applying its own lawful process.

We may update this Policy for future purchases, products, or delivery methods. The version in effect on the purchase date will normally apply to that purchase unless a later version is more favorable to you or applicable law requires otherwise.
